The ingredients needed to make Potato Pakodas:
  1. Take potatoes
  2. Prepare Gram flour
  3. Get Rice flour
  4. Prepare carom seeds
  5. Prepare turmeric powder
  6. Make ready red chilli powder

  8. Make ready baking soda
  9. Prepare Oil to fry
  10. Prepare water
Instructions to make Potato Pakodas:
  1. Wash and peel potatoes. Next cut them into thin circles and soak them into salt water.
  2. Next, in a bowl add gram flour, rice flour, salt to taste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, baking soda, carom seeds. Mix and add water to make batter. (Keep batter lconsistency little thick)
  3. Heat oil.
  4. Remove potato cuts from the water.
  5. Dip potato cut into a batter cover it nicely and drop it in the hot oil. (Can do 3-4 at a time)
  6. Deep fry them for few mins(3-4 mins), and remove it on a tissue paper.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining potato cuts.
  8. Serve hot with Bread, Chutney and fried Green chillies.
