  1. Chop the onions and tomatoes of your desired size. Soak the basmati rice in water for about 20 mins.
  2. Take ½ cup of grated coconut and add 2 cardamoms & water grind it and extract the milk. The should not be thick. Thin milk is enough.
  3. Now take a pressure cooker add the oil. Add cumin seeds and the add whole spices.
  4. After that add mint leaves in the oil and add onions chopped, Ginger garlic paste and green chilli.
  5. Once it's partially cooked, add the tomatoes and add the enough salt and turmeric powder.
  6. Once this is cooked, add the masala powders given and let it come together as a mushy texture.
  7. Now add the coconut milk and once it's comes to boil add the soaked rice and then pressure cook it.
  8. Serve it with curd or onion raita.

You could make the same in a pressure cooker as well to. Tomato Pulao: -Tomato pulao is delicious one pot meal perfect for lunch. -Here tomatoes and onions blended with spices mixed in rice gives nice flavour.
