  5. Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker. Fry cashews and groundnut in it, strain and remove in a cup.
  6. Add mustard seeds, curry leaves, carrot, green peas and fry for few minutes. Add garam masala powder, sambar powder. Immediately add rice and dal.
  7. Add salt and tamarind pulp and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add water. Close the lid to pressure cooker and take 3-4 whistles.
  8. Garnish with fried cashews and groundnuts.
