Hey everyone, it is Jim, welcome to my recipe site. Today, I’m gonna show you how to make a special dish, coconut rice. One of my favorites. This time, I am going to make it a bit unique. This will be really delicious.

Coconut rice is a dish prepared by soaking white rice in coconut milk or cooking it with coconut flakes. As both the coconut and the rice-plant are commonly found in the tropics all-around the world, coconut rice too is found in many cultures throughout the world. Coconut rice is a simple, flavorful dish that goes great with curries, stir-fries, chicken, or beef. In fact, pretty much any protein or vegetable can be paired with this coconut-flavored rice.

Coconut rice is one of the most favored of recent trending foods on earth. It is easy, it’s quick, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions daily. Coconut rice is something that I’ve loved my entire life. They are fine and they look wonderful.

To get started with this recipe, we must first prepare a few components. You can cook coconut rice using 6 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Coconut rice:
  1. Make ready 2 cups rice (we love jasmine)
  2. Take 2 1/4 cups water
  3. Take 65 g coconut cream
  4. Take 1 tablespoon coconut oil/sunflower
  5. Make ready 10 cardamom pods
  6. Get to taste Salt

It's super easy to make, it has a delicious and rich, natural coconut flavor and. Rinse and drain rice in cold water. Place in a saucepan with water, coconut milk, and salt. I have a thing for Coconuts!

Steps to make Coconut rice:
  1. Rinse and drain the rice
  2. Heat the oil in a saucepan and add the cardamoms. Toss for a few seconds in the oil and then add the rinsed and drained rice and salt.
  3. Fry the rice in the oil for 5 minutes stirring from time to time.
  4. Add the coconut cream to the 2 1/4 cups hot water and stir to mix. Pour the mix into the rice. Stir to mix.
  5. Cook the rice on medium high until the water reduces almost completely, and then reduce heat to low. Cover and let simmer for 30 minutes
  6. After 30 minutes the rice will be cooked and ready to serve. Remove the cardamoms that will have floated to the top, fluff the rice with a fork and serve.
  7. Enjoy!!
